The Browns n 'Nem: Bobby Brown is seemingly (and rightfully) looking out for his daughter in all the ways he can. According to NBC affiliate 11Alive, the R&B legend has filed for guardianship over Bobbi Kristina's estate. This is the same property where Brown and the late Whitney Houston's only daughter was found facedown and unresponsive in a bathtub in January.
This report comes only days after the ex-New Edition crooner briefly left his daughter's side to perform in Dallas on April 18. During the performance, Brown said his daughter was "awake" and "no longer on life support" but later ended up clarifying his comments.
Brown's lawyer, Christopher Brown of Brown & Rosen LLC, gave the following statement to Us Weekly:
"Bobbi Kristina’s condition has changed since moving from Emory University Hospital and there has been improvement. Doctors have indicated that she will have a long life. However, Bobbi Kristina is presently embarking on a rehabilitation process and the quality of her life will not be known for years to come."
Bobby himself added, "We thank everyone that supports Bobbi Kristina. And God is hearing our prayers."
Bobbi Kristina's grandmother Cissy, however, recently gave word that there was "still not a great deal of hope" in her condition. "She's the same," she related to WBLS FM 107.5 last month. "We've moved her to a place for rehabilitation. And you know, still not a great deal of hope. [We're] still praying."
