All Progressive Congress’ Presidential candidate, Gen. Buhari and his VP candidate, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo met with some Catholic Bishops in Abuja yesterday February 10th. During their visit, Buhari took time to assure them that his government when voted into power would not have any major business with religion as he believed that government shouldn’t intervene with politics. He vowed that he had no religious agenda that might in any way affect the peace of the country.

US To Withdraw Ebola Fighters

The Pentagon in the US are preparing the US military to withdraw all but 100 of the 2,800 troops it currently has deployed to West Africa in response to the Ebola epidemic, Aljazeera reports.

In a statement on Tuesday, spokesman Rear Admiral John Kirby said “nearly all will return by April 30″.

US officials said Washington was ready to scale back its five-month mission in Liberia and Senegal in the coming weeks, as officials believed the crisis had largely been contained.
