NFF to Employ Police Forensic Experts To Confirm Kawu’s Signature on Maigari Impeachment Notice.
Following the denial of a Northern football official in signing the Impeachment notice of Aminu Maigari, the NFF has said that it might seek the services of Forensic experts to determine the authenticity of the matter.
Chairman of the NNL, Ahmed Kawu denied to have signed the notice, claiming that it was forged, a position which an NFF board member Effiong Johnson termed as “childish and regrettable,” adding that “Kawu is not man enough to face Maigari and tell him that he willingly supported his impeachment.”

COEASU suspends seven month-old strike !
The Colleges of Education of Academic Staff Union (COEASU) said on Thursday that it had suspended its seven month-old strike for three months with effect from Monday, July 21.
COEASU Chairman, Emmanuel Asagha, announced the suspension at the end of a meeting with the Minister of Education, Alhaji Ibrahim Shekarau, in Abuja.

Nigeria, US to strengthen action against Boko Haram
Nigeria and the United States are to strengthen strategies to tackle terrorism facing Nigeria and bring the activities of the militants to an end.
The new action plan was disclosed after a meeting between Senate President David Mark and America’s Ambassador to Nigeria James Entwistle in Abuja on Saturday 12 July.
A statement issued by Paul Mumeh, Chief Press Secretary to Mark, said the duo rued the loss of lives and the strain on economic and socio-political lives caused by activities of the sect.

The National President of ASUP, Mr Chibuzor Asomugha, who spoke to

lecturers would resume work on Tuesday.
He explained that the strike had only been suspended for three
months, an interlude the government is expected to meet the demands of
ASUP.

Men of the Police Anti-Robbery Squad on Friday morning apprehended six bank robbers in Lagos Island.
The looters were arrested within the premises of a bank located on Broad Street, Lagos Island, armed with cutlasses, iron bars, iron saw and some cables.

Lagos Proposes ‘rent To Own’ Home Policy
Governor Babatunde Fashola of Lagos State on Tuesday said his administration would soon start a new policy that would enable Lagos residents to own their homes after paying rents for a specified period of time.
According to the governor, the new policy is known as “Rent to Own” initiative coming under the Lagos Home Ownership Mortgage Scheme. He added that the initiative would encourage more residents to participate in the state housing scheme.

The residents made the call in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria on Friday in Abuja.They said that the area had no water supply in the last two weeks, adding that they relied on bore hole for their water needs.
Mrs Jessica Omoni, a resident of New Karu, Abuja, told NAN that the disruption in public water supply occurred about two weeks ago and had remained unresolved.
